Are we the only ones who so often see faces and animals in driftwood pieces? It’s fun looking for faces and animals even in small driftwood pieces or on only one end of a driftwood piece.
Note: just about all of our driftwood pieces are untreated. We obviously throw away pieces that have insects in them – but we very rarely find insects in the pieces. We make no guarantees that you won’t find any insects in your driftwood pieces.
We can put your driftwood pieces through a weak bleaching process at an extra cost, or you can treat the pieces yourself.
Or, depending on where you are planning to use the pieces, you can perhaps not even worry about treating your driftwood pieces.
Before using the pieces, if you want to, simply rinse them in fresh water and then let them bake in the sun for a day or two. Observe the pieces, and then decide if you want to further sterilize them.
The ocean does some sterilizing, and many driftwood pieces get further sterilized simply from baking in the sun on the beach.
