36 Driftwood pieces SOLD for R280. Take note of the 60cm ruler in the photos to get an idea of the length of each piece. These driftwood pieces are all mostly more than 30cm long. They are mostly not very thick, and thus are not suitable for crafts or decor projects where very strong pieces are called for, where for example you might want to hang something fairly heavy from your driftwood pieces. They are however fine or even ideal for daintier work or for use in floral and driftwood arrangements.
PLEASE NOTE: The longest piece (the over 60cm long one right next to the ruler at the bottom of the ruler) had about 3cm of its weaker or thinner end broken off during photographing and handling – the end on your left hand side of the photo. This breaking was after it was photographed for upload to our site.
The ruler in the photos is 60cm long and 2.5cm wide.
Several photos are shown here of just this ONE driftwood lot 130219C.
The next 5 photos show 30 of the 36 pieces in upright positions next to the 60cm ruler, to give you an idea of how you could arrange them in a vase, bottle or jar, or simply to help you to imagine them upright rather than horizontal next to the ruler as in the earlier photos. Or imagine them as masts on driftwood boats, or whatever you may need the pieces for where you’d be using them vertically rather than horizontally.
The next 5 photos should give you some driftwood decor ideas. Simply display driftwood sticks in glass bottles or glass jars for a lovely beach theme effect or rustic effect. Perfect for a beach wedding or rustic theme wedding.
These 36 driftwood pieces are all quite thin, so could be thought of as driftwood sticks. In our mind, sticks is what we’d call small branches broken off a tree, still fresh. The moment that sticks are older, for example washed down a river to the coast, or blown into the ocean from the coast (or dragged in by high tides) and journeys to another part of the coast, and then lies around on the beach for some time, we think of those sticks as driftwood. However, we still think sticks is a nice word for thinner driftwood pieces.
We think thinner driftwood pieces – or driftwood sticks – are suitable for a wide variety of craft or decor ideas, in particular in floral arrangements, or in table centerpieces as beach wedding decor.
